We encourage you to consider your lifestyle, spending habits and record-keeping processes and how frequently you use your ATM and debit cards before you choose which option is best for you.

Explanation of Balance Backup+ Services

At Truliant, we realize that sometimes overdrafts happen. An overdraft occurs when a payment or withdrawal from your checking account exceeds your available balance, and we cover these transactions for you. This could happen when you’re taking out cash from an ATM, making a debit purchase at a store, writing a check, making a bank transfer or paying a bill by pre-authorized payment.

We automatically strive to pay members' overdrafts to save them the embarrassment of returned items and the fees that many merchants charge with Balance Backup. This service protects from overdrafts occured by writing a check, recurring payments like automatic bill pay and streaming services and any other transaction made using your checking account or debit card number.

With your permission, we will also strive to cover ATM and everyday debit card transactions, like cash withdrawals and retail or grocery purchases through our Balance Backup+ service. If you would not like us to cover these transaction types, simply opt out, and we will decline your transaction when you do not have the funds in your account.

There is no fee for opting into Balance Backup+, however, you will incur a service fee if we cover a transaction that could cause your account to overdraft. You can opt out of Balance Backup+ overdraft services at any time.
